Martha Tarrant Named Planner of the Year by CEFPI Southeast Region

(KIAWAH ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA) – Kentucky architect Martha Tarrant, AIA, LEED AP BD+C is the recipient of the 2010 Southeast Region Educational Planner of the Year award, the highest and most distinguished individual honor conferred by the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) Southeast Region. Her firm, RossTarrant Architects, is the only architectural firm in the state that is completely dedicated to designing educational facilities. RossTarrant Architects has worked on 19 college and university campuses and more than fifty P-12 school districts statewide.

The Southeast Planner of the Year award is presented annually to one individual throughout the entire Southeast, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. The award recognizes a professional planner whose activities have produced a positive and significant regional, national and/or international impact on educational facility planning, adding to the body of knowledge and store of best practices in the field. This year's exceptional winner qualifies on every level, signified by her passion for planning outstanding educational facilities for students throughout the state of Kentucky and beyond.
