Construction of Gallatin County Middle School Begins (continued)

“This building project is a community wide-effort,” said Dorothy Perkins, Superintendent of the Gallatin County Schools, “from the cooperation of our county fiscal court and county fair board for the acquiring of the property on which to build this building, to the teachers, administrators, parents, and community members who helped provide ideas and suggestions during numerous meetings to make this dream of a new school a reality. Our Gallatin County Community and school district have successfully partnered together for our children and the future of our county.”

The new school will include many cutting-edge features including interactive whiteboards (a type of computerized chalkboard) in each classroom. In addition, each of the classroom wings will have its own computer lab, and wireless Internet connectivity will be available throughout the building. The media center will include an enclosed television studio.
