Higher School Design Standards Receive Recognition (continued)

Lonnie Anderson, Superintendent of the Whitley County School System, was very pleased by the award, commenting that “the design is both visually striking and meets the instructional needs of our students and staff.”

“It’s a tremendous honor to our firm and our design team as well as for the Whitley County School System,” said Martha R. Tarrant, AIA, president of Ross-Tarrant Architects. “Our first concern is always meeting our client’s needs—providing a design that fits the client’s goals, budget and timeline, and enhances the educational environment for the children and teachers. This was a unique project with the opportunity to work with administrators and teachers who charged us with the goal of designing a building that would excite children about learning and provide an environment that helps each child to do their best.”
