With the goal of increasing access to education and bolstering economic development in this rural, central Kentucky town, the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College sought to create a new satellite campus in Springfield, Kentucky.

The master plan for this campus involves the careful phasing of the campus to enable growth and development as funding becomes available. The first phase will provide the main building for the campus, which will be sited on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding industrial park.

The master plan addresses all features of the site including space for additional buildings, vehicular and pedestrian circulation patterns, the transformation of an existing pond into an attractive water feature and a pedestrian trail system.
