As the only middle school facility in the Bath County School District, Bath County Middle School houses more than 650 students in grades five through eight. A renovation and addition was designed to upgrade the existing facility.
The project included the addition of a new band and vocal music room with dedicated office and storage space. The existing cafeteria, which previously fell below the Kentucky Department of Education minimum square footage requirements, was renovated and expanded. The new cafeteria space includes the extensive use natural daylighting to enliven the previously dark and somewhat dismal space. In addition, the administrative suite was extensively renovated to accommodate the school’s need for additional, secure administrative space. The teacher’s lounge was also renovated.
General facility upgrades included significant upgrades to the fire alarm, the addition of storage space and a more efficient dry goods and custodial receiving space.
